Description:
The VPR3 is a pressure-compensated, 3-way flow control valve that maintains a constant, adjustable flow rate to the actuator port (P), regardless of pressure or inlet flow variation. Unlike a standard bypass valve, excess flow isn't simply drained to tank — it's routed to port B, where it remains available to power a second function or actuator. It's available in 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4" port sizes.
Operation: Supply flow enters at port E and is metered to port P, which connects to the actuator or circuit branch requiring controlled flow. The flow rate is set by rotating the adjustment knob after loosening the locking nut. As a pressure-compensated valve, it automatically corrects for changes in pump output or downstream pressure to hold the set flow steady at P. The key distinction of the VPR3 is what happens to the excess: instead of draining to tank, it's diverted to port B, which can be connected to a second actuator or line. Port B stays unaffected by pressure changes downstream, though its available flow will still shift if the overall inlet flow changes.
