Description:
The RFP3 is a pressure-compensated, 3-way flow control valve designed to deliver a constant, adjustable flow rate to the actuator port (P), regardless of fluctuations in supply pressure or inlet flow. Any flow beyond the set value is automatically diverted to tank (T), protecting the circuit from excess flow and pressure spikes. It's available in 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4" port sizes to suit a range of hydraulic system capacities.
Operation: Supply flow enters at port E and is regulated toward port P, which connects to the actuator or a specific branch of the hydraulic circuit that requires controlled flow. The desired flow rate is set by rotating the adjustment knob on top of the valve (after loosening the locking nut to unlock it). Because the valve is pressure-compensated, it automatically adjusts internally to hold that flow rate steady even as downstream pressure or pump output varies. Flow in excess of the set value doesn't get blocked or wasted through relief — it's routed directly to the tank via port T, keeping the rest of the circuit running at a stable, predictable rate.
