DOUBLE LOCKED PUSH-BUTTON END OF STROKE VALVE – FCC
Hydraulic Valve | HFD
Frequently Asked Questions
Stroke end valves are essential components in hydraulic systems that control the movement of hydraulic actuators, like cylinders. They function by regulating fluid flow at the end points (beginning and end) of the actuator’s stroke, which is the distance it travels when extended or retracted.
Stroke end valves act as flow control switches at the extreme positions of a hydraulic cylinder. They can be normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC), allowing or blocking fluid flow depending on the actuator’s position.
This type of valve is typically activated by a mechanical linkage connected to the moving part of the cylinder (piston rod). When the actuator reaches its end point, the linkage triggers the valve, opening or closing the flow path depending on the valve’s type (NO or NC). This controls the flow of pressurized fluid, stopping or reversing the movement of the actuator.
The Benefits Stroke End Valve Provides
They provide multiple benefits as well. Here are only some of this valve’s great contributions in the hydraulic systems.

Prevent Overextension and Damage
By stopping fluid flow at the end of the stroke, stroke end valves prevent the actuator from overextending and potentially damaging itself or surrounding components.

Improve System Control
They enable precise control over actuator movement, ensuring it reaches the desired position accurately and safely.

Enhance System Efficiency
Stroke end valves can optimize system efficiency by eliminating unnecessary actuator movement and wasted energy.
Stroke End Valve Applications
With the many benefits of stroke end valves, it is no surprise that they can be used in many machines. Here are some stroke end valve applications.

Construction Machinery
In excavators, loaders, and cranes, stroke end valves control the extension and retraction of hydraulic cylinders for functions like boom movement, arm extension, and bucket operation.

Manufacturing Equipment
They are used in presses, material handling equipment, and other machinery to precisely position actuators for various tasks.

Mobile Hydraulic
Agricultural equipment and mobile vehicles often utilize stroke end valves for functions like steering, implement actuation, and leveling mechanisms.
